2020 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

It’s almost time for one of my favorite Disney festivals!  The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will begin this year on March 4, 2020 and run through June 1, 2020.  If you love gardening and everything about flowers, you will love this festival.  I am not one that is very good at growing and keeping plants alive and I LOVE this festival!  I love flowers and spring and this combination just makes me happy!

I love walking through Epcot during this festival and looking at all the topiaries. It is amazing how the Disney gardeners create such fabulous flower gardens.  If I only had a green thumb like that one.  During this year’s festival, you can enjoy a variety of festival favorites such as:

Outdoor Kitchens

During the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, guests will find Outdoor Kitchens around the World Showcase.  These Outdoor Kitchens feature a wide variety of food and beverage offerings.  They are a great way to get a sampling of different small plates and beverages and usually a great way to use some snack credits if you are on the Disney Dining Plan!

Topiary Displays

I love looking at all the topiaries.  They are great for fun photos and just really neat to look at and try to figure out how they were made.  Some of this years topiaries will include Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Buzz Lightyear, Kermit and Miss Piggy, Beauty and the Beast, Remy from Ratatouille and of course Mickey and friends, plus many more!

Exhibits and Gardens

Walk through different gardens and exhibits.  One of my favorites that I always have to walk through is The Goodness Garden Butterfly House Presented by GoGo squeeZ.  There is also a neat Bamboo Garden and of course the English Tea Garden is always fun.

There are several guided tours available if you want to learn and see even more.  This year there are two different Tea Garden Tours that are offered.  The English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London® and Royal Tea Garden Tour. During the English Tea Garden Tour, guests will learn about the artistry behind the growing and blending of a variety of botanicals, which is vital for the creation of uniquely flavored brews. This tour lasts approximately 20 minutes and advanced reservations are recommended. During the Royal Tea Garden Tour, your tour guide will lead you through an elegant tea garden, where you’ll spend approximately 45 minutes exploring the garden in-depth, and learning the artistry and history behind growing and blending tea. Your tour ends with a stop at the  The Tea Caddy, where you’ll be served tea and scones!  This tour is $20 per person and advanced reservations are recommended. Valid admission to Epcot is also required and is not included in the cost of the tour.
