Caribbean Beach Resort

I recently had the opportunity to stay a few nights at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  It had been many, many years since I had last stayed at this resort, so a lot had changed.  The resort recently underwent a huge refurbishment and soon will be one of the new stops on the Disney Skyliner, an aerial gondola system.  This will make it a lot easier to get to Hollywood Studios and Epcot from this resort!

Caribbean Beach is a moderate level Disney World resort.  As mentioned above, this resort has undergone a huge refurbishment, including many of the buildings and rooms, along with the lobby of the resort.  You first notice the changes when you step into Old Port Royale (the main building).  It is very colorful and makes you feel like you are stepping into a resort in the Caribbean.

Fuentes del Morro Pool Area

The main pool at Caribbean Beach Resort is so much fun.  Even the area around the main pool is fun and you feel like you are walking in an island paradise!

Dining

For a moderate-level resort, Caribbean Beach has several dining options!

Centertown Market Quick-Service Location.

Sebastian’s Bistro is a table-service location with a view of the water.

Banana Cabana. Poolside bar.

Spyglass Grill. Quick-service restaurant by the Trinidad South area quiet pool.

While staying at Caribbean Beach, I was able to stay in one of the Pirate-themed rooms.  It was a lot of fun!  This would be an excellent room choice for boys.  It’s a great choice for girls too, but I think young boys would really have a lot of fun sleeping in a pirate bed, which are really comfortable!

Disney Caribbean Beach Resort is a lovely moderate-level resort.  It does have Disney bus access to all four theme parks, both water parks and Disney Springs. Soon, it will also include transportation on the Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.  There is also an internal shuttle that will take you to other areas of the resort.  This is great if you are staying in the Trinidad Building (where I stayed) and don’t want to walk to the Fuentes del Morro pool.  If you do chose to walk to the Old Port Royale area from this area, it is a nice walk along the beach.
