Our third day on the Disney Fantasy took us to Cozumel, Mexico. We had an excursion in Cozumel to go to the Mayan Ruins, the Mayan Cacao Company and the Discover Mexico Cultural Park.
After breakfast, we met our group in the Buena Vista Theater for our excursion and it wasn’t long before we were leaving the ship and meeting our guide for the day. We had a great experience on our excursion…other than the heat. I was really impressed by the tour guide service that Disney partnered with in Cozumel for this excursion. The guide was sweet and funny and the driver was great too! The bus was nice, clean and had great air conditioning. To start off, we walked from the ship through the marketplace to get to the bus.
Our first stop on our excursion was the Mayan Ruins. It was really cool to see and learn about.
After the Mayan Ruins, we got back on the bus. It was so nice to be back in the air conditioning and the tour guide and driver had a cooler of cold water bottles for everyone. Then, we headed off to the Mayan Cacao Factory. Here we learned how to make chocolate and even sampled some of it.
Our last stop was the Discover Mexico Cultural Park. We watched a short film on Mexico and then walked through a really cool museum.
Then, it was time for lunch. We went outside for lunch and the kids were all able to hit a piñata. The food was good.
After lunch, we headed back to the Fantasy. We boarded the ship and went to our room to clean up, it had been a really hot day. We hung out on our verandah for a little bit and watched everyone come back on the ship. We even saw a pirate ship!
That evening we saw Charles Peachock, who is a trick juggler, perform and then had dinner. We also met up with a few characters!
We had dinner that evening at the Enchanted Garden where our server performed a trick for us using a wine bottle, a toothpick and silverware. The servers are always entertaining and fun! This cruise we had two of the best servers that we have ever experienced!
After dinner we explored more things to do around the ship and eventually made our way back to our stateroom.
