Wouldn’t it be so much fun to stay in a resort where you are surrounded by scenes from some of your favorite Disney movies? At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you can chose to stay in family suites themed after Finding Nemo, The Lion King or Cars. There are also standard guest rooms themed after The Little Mermaid! Everywhere you look at Art of Animation, you can see scenes from some of your favorite Disney and Pixar movies. Whether you are walking around outside or you are looking at some of the fun artwork in the lobby area.
Disney’s Art of Animation features family suites throughout the resort. The family suites sleep up to 6 people. These are great for larger families or for those who want just a little more room to stretch out. There are also standard guest rooms featuring The Little Mermaid that sleep up to 4 people.
When you first arrive at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you will be greeted by the big resort sign.
As you get closer to the entrance, you will artwork depicting the four characters/movies that are featured at Art of Animation.
I love looking around Animation Hall at all the different drawings and artwork. It is so bright and colorful. Everywhere you look, you will see fun artwork of your favorite Disney characters. My favorite is the light fixture outside of Ink & Paint shop.
The Ink & Paint Shop is the gift shop at Art of Animation. It also leads you to the quick-service dining location at the resort, Landscape of Flavors. Landscape of Flavors is a great resort quick-service location. There is a lot of variety. There are 5 different food areas/stations to chose from. There are also themed dining areas in this location.
In Animation Hall there is also the Pixel Play Arcade for those that need a video game fix! This is a great place for the kids to go while the adults are checking in or on a non-park day.
Big Blue Pool
As you leave Animation Hall, you will walk outside to where the different resort buildings are located and the pools. The Finding Nemo section of the resort is right outside of Animation Hall, along with the Big Blue Pool. The resorts large featured pool. The pool makes you feel like you are part of Nemo’s world.
As you get closer to the Finding Nemo buildings, you will notice how cute the outside of the buildings are decorated.
Finding Nemo Family Suites
While I was at Disney’s Art of Animation, I was able to tour through one of the Finding Nemo family suites. The Finding Nemo Family Suites are centrally located in the resort and the main feature pool, The Big Blue Pool, is themed after Finding Nemo. The other family suites, Lion King and Cars, have similar room layouts, just different theming. The family suites sleep up to 6 people. There is one bedroom with one queen-size bed, one double-size sleeper sofa and one double-size table bed. There are also two bathrooms.
Cars Family Suite Area
I was not able to tour inside one of the Cars Family Suites, but the room layout will be similar to The Finding Nemo Family Suites. The outside area around the Cars buildings is so fun and has so many great photo spots!
The Lion King Family Suite Area
I was not able to tour The Lion King Family Suites, so just a few outdoor photos around the area.
The Little Mermaid Guest Room Area
The Little Mermaid area of Art of Animation are standard guest rooms. There are not any family suites in The Little Mermaid section. It is located towards the back of the resort. Unlike the family suite buildings that have interior hallways, The Little Mermaid guest rooms buildings have exterior halls.
Disney’s Art of Animation is located near Hollywood Studios and Epcot with easy access to both of these parks on the Disney Skyliner via the Caribbean Beach Resort station. The Disney Skyliner station is located at the Generation Gap Bridge over Hourglass Lake between Pop Century and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
