Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Over the summer, my family was able to spend a few days at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.  This was the first time we had ever stayed at this resort and we loved it more than we realized we would!  We stayed in a 1-bedroom villa situated in the South Point Road Area.  We had a room on the first floor, which was great!

Before arriving at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, we had stayed a few nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village.  We could have used Disney’s luggage transfer service to take our luggage to Old Key West, but since we had computers in our bags, we did not want to worry about the transfer.  We decided to take an Uber to Old Key West so we could handle our luggage.  We checked in and left our luggage with Bell Services for the day, since our villa was not quite ready that early in the morning.  Then, we headed off to Hollywood Studios to have some fun!

After we got the text saying our room was ready, we decided to head back for a break, check out our villa and hit the pool for a little bit.  The villa was really nice.  Old Key West had just finished a large-scale “hard goods” refurbishment that had just concluded before our stay. I loved the colors of the outside of the buildings.

After we had a chance to check out our villa and relax for a little bit, we headed to the pool for a quick swim.

We loved our stay at Disney’s Old Key West more than I think we thought we would.  The cast members were extremely friendly.  We always encounter friendly cast members at any of the Disney Resorts, but the Cast Members here were so nice and helpful.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again sometime!
