On the banks of the Sassagoula River, is Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort. I recently had the opportunity to stay at this Moderate Level Disney resort and I loved it! The Mardi Gras theming is amazing! You feel like you are in the real French Quarter as you walk around the resort. There are so many details.
Take a look at all the different photos, both around the resort and inside a guest room, and see why the next time you are looking to stay at a Moderate Level resort at Disney World, that Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort should be at the top of your list!
Pool Area and Alligator Statues
I love the alligator statues around the main area of the resort. They add a fun and whimsical feel.
The guest rooms are really nice and spacious enough for four adults to easily have room and get ready everyday. I love that Disney has started remodeling the rooms and are giving plenty of room under the beds in some resorts for luggage to slide under.
Things I loved about Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter
There are several things I love about Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter. It’s a smaller resort. So, that means it’s easy to get around and because of the size there really isn’t a room location that is a long walk to any of the main areas of the resort. There is one bus stop, which is also a nice feature. The theming is so fun! I love the atmosphere around the resort and the peaceful setting along the Sassagoula River. The boat ride on the Sassagoula Steamboat Co. is a nice, enjoyable ride to Disney Springs. And last, but not least, you can get Mickey-shaped beignet’s from the Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory!!
